Canadian Forces Snowbirds The Snowbirds Demonstration Team (431 Squadron) is a Canadian icon comprised of serving members of the Canadian Forces. Serving as Canadian ambassadors, the Snowbirds demonstrate the high level of professionalism, teamwork, excellence, discipline and dedication inherent in the women and men of the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Canadian Forces. 70th Anniversary of 431 Squadron 431 Iroquois Squadron, The Hatiten Ronteriios or “Warriors of the Air”, was initially formed on November 11, 1942 in Burn, England and disbanded in 1945. During that time, the Squadron was part of Bomber Command during World War II. It reformed briey in 1954 at Bagotville, Quebec as a F-86 Sabre squadron, and nally, the Squadron was reformed for a third time in 1978 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan formally becoming 431 Air Demonstration Squadron (Snowbirds). The Snowbirds are, without any doubt, part of our Royal Canadian Air Force heritage. All members of 431 Squadron are proud to represent the Canadian Forces throughout the country and other parts of North America.
